We hope that we have provided a varied and interesting selection of events and trips and always welcome comments, suggestions and help for future events and trips.
Members should continue to monitor this site or the notice-boards at the centres as there may be cancellations or additions to this list throughout the year. If there are other events that interest you and you think there would be sufficient interest, please contact Trevor Davies 01787 374345, Ann Clarke 01284 750980 or any committee member – we are working on the 2011 programme from January. If members would like to organise an event we would be happy to support and help you to set it up and to sell tickets.
Additions, changes or further details of times or costs etc. to the programme will be advised on your notice board and here on the Upbeat web site.

Visit Bletchley Park in the morning where the museum exhibits include the Abwehr Enigma machine, the World War Two Aviation display, the Home Front exhibition and a collection of wartime toys. The Galley Restaurant in Hut 4 sells drinks, snacks and meals. Wheelchairs are available if pre-booked. The afternoon will be spent at Stoke Bruerne, where you can visit the National Waterways Museum which includes the history of Britain’s canals with films, models and recreations (museum galleries on floors 1 and 2 are not accessible to wheelchairs, but there are films available on the ground floor), have a cup of tea in the café or walk along the tow-path to see locks, a winding hole and even the Blisworth Tunnel.
